USA Today announced the 10 Great Places to Run in the Winter,
and the Myrtle Beach Marathon made that list. The Bi-LO
Marathon kicks off February 11th, 2010. Once you register for the race, book your hotel accommodations with Oceana Resorts.
BI-LO Marathon:
* Saturday, February 13, 2010 for BI-LO Marathon
* Start time, 6:30 AM (6:25 AM for Wheelchair and Crankchair)
Start & Finish Locations
- The BI-LO Myrtle Beach Marathon will start the intersection of Grissom Parkway and 21st Ave. N, Myrtle Beach, SC.
- The Finish Line will be in the parking lot of BB&T Coastal Field.
Course Information
- Maps of the BI-LO Marathon course will be available at the Runner’s Expo.
- The BI-LO Myrtle Beach Marathon course will close at 2:30PM.
- Mile markers will be posted at each mile.
- Digital time clocks will be visible approximately every two miles along the Marathon course.
- A digital clock at the Finish Line will display unofficial finishing time.
- The marathon course is USATF Certified and is a qualifier for the Boston Marathon .
- Unofficial bicycles, baby strollers, skates, in-line skates, and skate boards are not allowed on the course. Headphones (iPods, MP3 players, etc.) are also prohibited.
- Pacing times are as follows:
- 3:10
- 3:30
- 3:40
- 4:00
- 4:30
- 4:45
- 5:00
- 5:30
- Pacing times are subject to change.
Awards
* All BI-LO Myrtle Beach Marathon finishers will receive a Finisher’s Medal at the Finish Line.
* Finisher’s Certificates will be available online at brightroom.com.
* Participants are eligible for one award only.
* Awards will not be mailed. All awards must be picked up after the respective races.
* Unclaimed awards will be available at the House of Blues Post Race Party.
The RBC Centura 5K
Date
* Friday, February 12, 2010 for RBC Centura Bank 5K
* Start time, 6:30 PM
Course Information
- The RBC Centura Bank 5K run will start on Celebrity Circle outside Ripley’s Aquarium. The course will circle Broadway at the Beach and finish at Coastal Federal Field.

- A digital clock at the Finish Line will display elapsed race time.
- Unofficial bicycles, baby strollers, skates, in-line skates, and skate boards are not allowed on the course. Headphones are also prohibited.

- All RBC Centura 5K finishers will receive a Finisher’s Medal at the Finish Line.
- Finisher’s Certificates will be available online at www.Brightroom.com

Registration begins on August 13th, 2009. AS a Green Marathon, they are asking participants to register online. Requirements for the marathon going green:
