Why do we travel? To open our eyes to other cultures. Traveling to Myrtle Beach just got a little easier with these celebrity travel tips. Relax and enjoy your trip.
Here are five celebrities and five travel tips.
- Jonathan Bennet–Take a shower first thing when you arrive in your hotel room. (That’s the first thing he always does.)
- Antonio Sabato Jr.–Wear comfortable clothing on an airplane or during a long car trip. (He wears sweats.)
- Kim Wayans–Bring your own sheets and pillow (I often bring my own pillow case and sometimes a pillow depending on the circumstance and location.)
- Criss Angel (a video interview)–Know about your destination’s climate so you don’t over-pack. (When going to Cabo, his favorite destination, he only brings a few pairs of shorts and leaves the shaving cream at home.) On the flip side of temperatures, know if you’ll
- need a sweater or a jacket– or both.
- Bode Miller–Stay positive and be aware that delays and the unexpected may happen.
Altitude and the recycled plane air is completely drying on body, hair and skin. Therefore:
- Pound drinks. No not those kind! Water only please! And skip the salty foods too.
- Moisturize every hour. If the airport won’t allow it in your carry on, splash your face with water every hour.
- Don’t use hot tools on hair. Instead, apply a smoothing cream and conditioner and leave it at that.
- Sleep the rest of the time. Score!
- Go makeup free. Wear a tinted moisturizer and apply a sheer gloss right before your hop off the plane.
Shoot food. Too many people come back from a trip raving about a restaurant or meal, but with no photos of what they ate. When photographing food, shoot close-ups. And include glasses or silverware in the frame to give a sense of scale.
Hope you enjoy these travel tips. If you would like to add to the list, please feel free to leave a comment.

With so many summer activities in the Myrtle Beach area; The Grand Strand Freedom Fest is sure to be a big hit at the Freestyle Music Park. Along with a new business group in Myrtle Beach, Freestyle Music Park is hoping to curve the loss of revenue from the motorcycle rallies.
Honoring the September 11 anniversary, Freedom Fest will start on the 11th of this month with a FREE concert by the Long Bay Symphony at La Belle Amie Vineyard, just off S.C 90, at 1120 St. Joseph Road, Little River.
BOOST spokesman, Tom Herron says, “We are thrilled to have it here, outdoors.”
On September 12th, Freestyle Music Park will be the site of a daylong festival. At 1pm there will be a parade of Military Veterans, local high school marching bands and the members of the veterans motorcycle group Rolling Thunder.
Many exhibits will be set up through out the park on Sept 11, 2009; including The Pearl Harbor Foundation.
LeAnn Rimes will be performing at the Freestyle Music Park on the first stop of her new North American Tour. Other entertainment include afternoon concerts by Charlie Floyd and Southern Express, Jeffery Allen and Edwards and Southern Blues, and performer Billy Joe Royal.
